At Curaa, our goal is to provide compassionate care in a community setting. We place a strong emphasis on listening to and understanding our residents’ unique needs. Our tailor-made care plans are designed to enrich the lives of residents to help them live a fulfilling life.

 

Nursing Care

Curaa nursing homes are specially designed units fitted with the necessary nursing equipment and staffed with fully qualified registered nurses to support residents living with immobility or suffering from physical or sensory illness. We engage with hostpitals, specialist consultants, GPs and pharmacists on a daily basis to ensure that each resident recieves the highest standard of care.

Dementia Care

The effects of dementia are extensive for both the individual with the condition and for the loved ones going through the journey with them. The emotional toll can be high and requires time for individuals to adjust and come to terms with what the future looks like. Meaningful activity and engagement are paramount in ensuring the well-being of the individual, at Curaa we embed this thinking into our homes, and our brilliant staff and designated activities teams are always innovating, to provide the highest standard of care for residents.

Palliative Care

We understand how tough living with a serious illness can be, both emotionally and physically for the resident and their loved ones. Our trained nurses and specialist care team are on hand to provide both physical and emotional support that helps residents and their loved ones manage through difficult periods. We are adept at optimising the quality of life and providing relief that can make a real difference in difficult circumstances.

Respite Care

Respite care is a service which benefits a carer and the person he or she cares for by providing a short break to him or her from the caring routine.

At Curaa we welcome people who wish to stay with us on a short term basis. This can be in cases where you need extra support in recovering from an illness or if your caregiver is unavailable for some time or you just want to come and stay to experience the variety of services available at one of our wonderful homes. Some residents who come in for respite care have loved the Curaa lifestyle to such an extent that they have ended up staying permanently.

My mother mainly suffers from dementia and has been a resident at Broome End 5 years. During that time staff have been extremely patient with her changing needs and personalities and have built up an excellent relationship with her. Broome End was chosen mainly for its family atmosphere and hasn't disappointed. Cleanliness and meals are second to none and activities offered always interesting and innovative. Their relationship with local surgery is excellent and I've promptly informed any changes in medication. Management and staff have been excellent during lockdown maintaining contact with my mother keeping me informed of changes and despite logistics facilitating visits safely.

My mother is doing really well since moving into Broome End care home. She enjoys it there and has made friends and is getting good care and plenty of attention. The staff are very understanding, helpful and polite. The home is very clean and my mother has a lovely room overlooking the well-kept garden that she loves to be in.

As a family, we are very fortunate to have found Broome End for Mum. She has been happy and settled there for some time. The care and compassion shown to Mum from the carers and all of the staff, from management to the cleaners, is amazing. We have been kept informed throughout these difficult times and all effort has been made to keep us in as close contact as possible. When we have been unable to go and see Mum in person, we have had no concerns whatsoever about her welfare, which has been invaluable. Our thanks, love and gratitude are sent to all the staff.

Clevedon Court is a Nursing Home that I would recommend to anyone, they work as a team, seeing the resident and their family as a package ensuring that both are happy and content with the care given. Our dad went to the Nursing Home to recuperate after spending time in hospital, he hated the idea as he liked being at home. To our shock and surprise, he loved Clevedon Court so much he decided to stay. The Clevedon Court team supported our family during this period allaying all our fears. Today our dad is happy, has everything he wants or needs and you cannot ask for anything more.

My aunt is frail but mentally very sharp for her age. The care she has received has been particularly appropriate as her needs as an individual have been established and well communicated across the kind, dedicated staff who care for her. During Covid the standards of safety at the home have been outstanding and although this limited our access we were so grateful that she was safe.

My parents-in-law were both residents together. After looking at a number of care homes I stopped my search after finding Broome End. As soon as I walked in I knew it was the one. I was not disappointed. I cannot praise the care home enough they go over and beyond. I have unfortunately had to place my mother into care and needless to say, she is very happy at Broome End.

My father moved into Clevedon Court Nursing Home last year in a quite unwell state, but with the staff’s care and attention to detail Dad is now thriving. We have been so impressed by the staff at the home who genuinely care about the residents and their well-being. A great example of this was that they enabled us to get my mum and dad together for their 65th wedding anniversary which was very special for us and challenging given the current circumstances. Clevedon Court is very well run and we are very happy with the service that Dad is receiving. Thank you!
